Khái quát chung Khi nhắc đến Huế, hầu hết chúng ta thường nghĩ đến mảnh đất Thần kinh với sự hiện hữu của kiến trúc Kinh thành, Lăng tẩm và cung điện của triều đại nhà Nguyễn cùng với kiến trúc nhà vườn Huế, cảnh quan danh thắng dọc bờ sông Hương. Tuy nhiên, Huế vẫn còn đó một thể loại kiến trúc rất có giá trị, đó chính là quỹ kiến trúc thời kỳ Pháp thuộc với sự du nhập của các phong cách kiến trúc phương Tây nói chung và kiến trúc Pháp nói riêng.
